Everyone has mixed feelings about McCain’s funeral with his record of use of Congressional support overseas, overt contempt for Donald Trump and the Democrat’s odd support of him as a war hero despite their previous harsh words for the man.
Social Media was absolutely buzzing with images from the funeral, in particular repeated attacks on Donald Trump despite the event being in McCain’s honor. I’ll venture in context raising our current President may be relevant but it just seemed tacky:
Barack Obama on McCain: "Our politics, public life, public discourse can seem small and mean and petty. Trafficking in insult and phony controversies…It's the politics that pretends to be brave and tough but in fact is born of fear. John called on us to be bigger than that" pic.twitter.com/fn3NH7ASPN

And trust me people took notice:
#McCainMemorial was about two things: Remembering Sen. McCain and hating on Trump.
From the reporting on it, it seems the latter was sadly more important than anything else.

But some of these short videos coming out had me giggling, Kanye smiling in the back when this man pops up is priceless:
Ok guys, get ready to spit your drink out laughing! 😂pic.twitter.com/nrri4VZlga

However I’ll give it to the Democrats where due is warranted, they had a few good ones of their own including:
Regardless, I realize many in the Republican party see McCain as a traitor but I think the man had spunk and character. You have to respect his response during the election of 2008:
The funny thing about that though is the media had McCain pegged as a racist! In fact, McCain’s ratings plummeted during that election and much credit is due to the slander against him as some old grouch who’s lost touch with a younger crowd. Hypocrisy in my opinion, you can see Don Lemon’s question about McCain still up at his account. I bet this tweet is receiving a ton of traffic right now:
the question is do you think the mccain campaign is creating a political environment that is inciting hate and hate speech?

The reason for all of the love from Democrats at the moment (in my opinion) is because of two things, Obama looked up to the man and Trump loathes the man. Trump didn’t seem too much in a huff though, he jumped in his secret service truck and took off for an afternoon of golf since he wasn’t invited.
